A newborn baby with umbilical cord still attached, was found abandoned in a carton at a refuse dump site this morning in Iwhrekpokpo, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. 

According to Facebook user, Christian Onwugbolu, the baby died while arrangement was being made for his/her rescue. See the disturbing photos after the cut.
