CALL FOR PAPER UNN; SPECIAL ISSUE OF AFRICAN POPULATION STUDIES JOURNAL THEME: UNN RESEARCH AND POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT AGENDA



The Faculty of the Social Sciences, University of Nigeria Nsukka has obtained the permission of the Editorial Board of African Population Studies for a dedicated issue on post-2015 development agenda. The Dean therefore invites graduate students and staff of the Faculty to submit research manuscripts focusing on issues about Population, Demography, Public health, Environment, Climate change, Food security, Religion, Politics, Economics, Sociology, Geography, Development studies, Statistics etc.  issues that address the interface between population dynamics, environment and development, using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework.
African Population Studies/Etude de la Population Africaine is a bilingual (English and French) open access journal published by the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS/UEPA). The Journal is indexed in Scopus, SJR, SNIP and IBSS/Proquest. It only publishes dependable and timely information emanating from original research on African population, development and related fields.
The Editorial Office is currently domiciled with the Programme of Demography and Population Studies, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Important dates:
Submission of abstract begins: October 15, 2017
Submission of abstract ends: November 20, 2017
Notification of acceptance of abstract: November 27, 2017
Submission of full manuscript ends: February 23, 2018
Submitted manuscripts will be thoroughly peer-reviewed and accepted ones will be published in Vol. 32, Number 2, scheduled for June 2018. A discounted article processing fee of USD 100 will be charged for only accepted manuscripts.
The Guest Editors of this Special Issue are Chukwuedozie Ajaero, Chidi Nzeadibe and Christian Ezeibe of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, University of Nigeria Nsukka.
